Choledochal cyst

The Indian Journal of Pediatrics, 1983
Choledochal cyst is an uncommon condition and its exact etiology is unknown. Anamalous junction of the pancreatic and bile ducts is recently recognised to be associated with pancreatico-biliary reflux responsible for cholengitis and dilatation. Excision is preferred to internal drainage.

Choledochal Cyst

Current Problems in Surgery, 1992

While the original classification of Alonzo-Lej is still in use, additional forms of the anomaly have been

Carcinoma in choledochal cyst

Journal of Surgical Oncology, 1981
AbstractTwo cases of choledochal cyst associated with adenocarcinoma are documented. The classical triad of jaundice, abdominal mass, and pain is not distinctive enough to make the preoperative diagnosis of a choledochal cyst and its associated malignancy. Operative cholangiogram is a very important investigation, as by the presence of a filling defect
