Pain and swelling in the knee are common complaints, and most patients have degenerative changes in the knee to account for them. A few patients have patellar tumors, but they are rarely malignant. Chondrosarcoma is the second most common primary bone malignant tumor, following osteosarcoma.

Chondrosarcoma of the larynx is a rare neoplasm. The characteristic features of this tumor are described, and a case in a 69-year-old woman is reported. This case demonstrates the difficulties of histological classification. On the first biopsy specimen a benign chondroma was diagnosed.

Chondrosarcoma of the Pelvis

Thirty-one patients with chondrosarcoma of the pelvis were reviewed. The median followup period of the surviving patients was 66 months. Thirteen of 23 tumors after surgery with inadequate margins (57%) and 1 of 8 after surgery with adequate margins (13%) relapsed locally.
