Tropomyosin 1 Promotes Platelet Adhesion and Clot Contraction Separate from Its Roles in Developmental Hematopoiesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Genome‐wide association studies (GWAS) link the Tropomyosin 1 (Tpm1) locus to quantitative blood trait variation, but related mechanisms are unclear. Tpm1 encodes an actin‐binding protein that regulates actin filament diversity, cell adhesion, signaling, and actomyosin contractility.

A Low-Noise Chopper Amplifier Designed for Multi-Channel Neural Signal Acquisition

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 2019
This paper proposed the design of a low-noise, low total harmonic distortion (THD) chopper amplifier for neural signal acquisition. A dc servo loop (DSL) based on active Gm-C integrator is proposed to reject the electrode-dc-offset (EDO). Architecture of

Gut Microbiota, Immunity, and Metabolism in the Progression From Chronic Liver Disease to Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review explains how chronic liver injury progresses toward hepatocellular carcinoma through interconnected changes in gut microbes, metabolism, immunity, fibrosis, and diet. It highlights microbial metabolites, bile‐acid signaling, immune dysfunction, and nutritional or microbiome‐based interventions as opportunities to identify risk earlier ...

Caveolin‐1 Stabilizes SERCA2 to Counteract Acute Kidney Injury via Suppression of Ca2+‐Dependent Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in Distal Tubules

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In AKI, initial kidney injury upregulates the expression of Cav‐1, which subsequently binds to and stabilizes SERCA2 via its scaffolding domain and through deubiquitination, thereby regulating Ca2+ homeostasis and ER stress. Conversely, Cav‐1 deficiency accelerates SERCA2 degradation, triggering Ca2+ overload and ER stress, and ultimately exacerbating ...

A Novel Infrared Temperature Measurement with Dual Mode Modulation of Thermopile Sensor

open access: yesSensors, 2019
Superior to the traditional infrared temperature sensing architecture including infrared sensor and thermistor, we propose a novel sensing approach based on a single thermopile sensor with dual modes modulation.

A Catalytic Osmium Redox Couple Collapses Cancer Redox Balance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A stable Os(III)/Os(IV) redox couple is developed to disrupt the tumor cell redox balance by concurrently catalyzing ROS generation and GSH depletion. Osmium‐treated cells exhibit multiple cell death pathways, including apoptosis, ferroptosis, and immunogenic cell death.

Dipole‐Manipulated Built‐In Electric Field Enables Ultrafast Charge Separation in Perylene Diimide Polymers for Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Molecular dipole engineering in dendritic perylene diimide polymers through nitrogen‐rich heterocyclic linkers amplifies the built‐in electric field, enabling sub‐picosecond charge separation and efficient multi‐electron accumulation. This structure–dynamics–performance relationship establishes a versatile design strategy for high‐performance organic ...

Amplification of Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress via Inhibiting Lipid Droplet Formation to Enhance Chemodynamic Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An endoplasmic reticulum (ER)‐targeted chemodynamic nanoagent (TCBQ/iLD‐ER NPs) comprising •OH‐generating tetrachloro‐1,4‐benzoquinone (TCBQ) and lipid droplets (LDs) formation inhibitor (iLD) is developed for chemodynamic immunotherapy of tumors. After ingestion by cancer cells, TCBQ/iLD‐ER NPs preferentially accumulate in the ER and react with ER ...

A Low-power and Low-noise Multi-purpose Chopper Amplifier with High CMRR and PSRR

open access: yesAnnual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2020
In this article, by choosing and optimizing suitable structure in each stage, we have designed a multi-purpose low noise chopper amplifier. The proposed neural chopper amplifier with high CMRR and PSRR is suitable for EEG, LFP and AP signals while it has
