Generalization of the principle of chopper stabilization

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Fundamental Theory and Applications, 2003
The concept of traditional chopper-stabilized amplifiers is extended to general linear dynamical and certain types of nonlinear circuits. Simulation results are given to confirm the theory.

Radiation Hardening of Voltage References Using Chopper Stabilization

IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science, 2015
A technique for enhancing the precision of voltage references in an ionizing radiation environment is presented. Radiation-induced mismatch is identified as a fundamental source of error in voltage reference topologies, and chopper offset cancellation is used to mitigate the effect.

CMOS amplifier with Chopper Stabilization and Offset Calibration

2020 IEEE Conference of Russian Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EIConRus), 2020
A high-precision CMOS amplifier architecture is presented. The proposed architecture features chopper stabilization, as well as means to calibrate its zero offset. The simulation results are confirmed by experimental measurements of silicone devices.

Chopper Stabilization of Analog Multipliers, Variable Gain Amplifiers, and Mixers

IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 2008
We describe a general offset-canceling architecture for analog multiplication using chopper stabilization. Chopping is used to modulate the offset away from the output signal where it can be easily filtered out, providing continuous offset reduction which is insensitive to drift.

Chopper-stabilized gas chromatography-electroantennography: Part I. Background, signal processing and example

Biosensors and Bioelectronics, 2012
A new method that can improve gas-chromatography-electroantennographic detection (GC-EAD) by orders of magnitude through a technique known as chopper stabilization combined with matched filtering in colored noise is presented. The EAD is a physiological recording from the antenna of an insect which can be used to find compounds in the GC effluent that ...

A CMOS Chopper Offset-Stabilized Opamp

IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 2006
In this paper we introduce an offset-stabilized operational amplifier that uses a chopper amplifier in a low frequency path to cancel the offset of a wide-bandwidth amplifier. A sample-and-hold circuit is used to reduce the chopper ripple, and the low frequency path is also offset-stabilized to further reduce the residual offset. The amplifier has 1muV
