SUMMARY C4 photosynthesis alleviates the limitation caused by the oxygenase activity of Rubisco by partitioning photosynthetic functions between two distinct cell types: bundle sheath cells (BSCs) and mesophyll cells (MCs). These cell types perform different steps of photosynthesis using specialized machinery, accompanied by differential expression of ...

A Discrete Choquet Integral for Ordered Systems [PDF]
A model for a Choquet integral for arbitrary finite set systems is presented. The model includes in particular the classical model on the system of all subsets of a finite set.

Using a 52‐year dataset on captive green turtles, our study reveals that individual quality and age are the primary drivers of reproductive patterns. We found that high‐quality turtles bred more consistently throughout their lives and that females maintained a high reproductive value into old age despite evidence of physical aging.

Choquet Integrals With Respect to Non-Monotonic Set Functions [PDF]
This paper introduces the signed Choquet integral, i.e., a nonmonotonic generalization of the Choquet integral. Applications to welfare theory, multi-period optimization, and asset pricing are described.Choquet integral;comonotonicity;arbitrage;time ...

A review of methods for capacity identification in Choquet integral based multi-attribute utility theory: Applications of the Kappalab R package [PDF]
The application of multi-attribute utility theory whose aggregation process is based on the Choquet integral requires the prior identification of a capacity. The main approaches to capacity identification proposed in the literature are reviewed and their

The recent problem of network resource allocation is studied where pairs of users could be in a favourable situation, given that the allocation scheme is refined by some add-on technology. The general question here is whether the additional effort can be

A strong law of large numbers for capacities. [PDF]
We consider a totally monotone capacity on a Polish space and a sequence of bounded p.i.i.d. random variables. We show that, on a full set, any cluster point of empirical averages lies between the lower and the upper Choquet integrals of the random ...

Bipolarization of posets and natural interpolation [PDF]
The Choquet integral w.r.t. a capacity can be seen in the finite case as a parsimonious linear interpolator between vertices of $[0,1]^n$. We take this basic fact as a starting point to define the Choquet integral in a very general way, using the ...
