Анализа на мајчинските и акушерските фактори за ризик за прематурна ретинопатија кај прематуруси чија тежина е над 1500г и гестациска возраст над 30 недели [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) is a major cause of preventable blindness in preterm infants. The incidence of ROP is increasing in developing countries due to increased survival of preterm infants.

DNA Nanoflower LYTACs Enable Efficient VEGF Degradation and Verteporfin Loading for Combined Therapy of Wet Age‐Related Macular Degeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An integrated approach that combines a DNA nanoflower VEGF degrader with photodynamic therapy is developed for the treatment of wet age‐related macular degeneration, which reduces the risk of VEGF reactivation‐induced CNV recurrence and minimizes the systemic side effects associated with photodynamic therapy.

Quantitative analysis of retinal and choroidal microvascular changes in patients with diabetes

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2018
The relationship between choroidal and retinal microvascular changes has not yet been well described, and there were limited data on diagnostic ability of optical coherence tomography (OCT)-derived vascular parameters for determining diabetic retinopathy

Visualizing choriocapillaris using swept source optical coherence tomography angiography with various probe beam sizes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Imaging choriocapillaris (CC) is a long-term challenge for commercial OCT angiography (OCTA) systems due to limited transverse resolution. Effects of transverse resolution on the visualization of a CC microvascular network are explored and demonstrated ...

Choroidal structural alterations and choroidal vascularity index in bipolar disorder patients

open access: yesPhotodiagnosis and Photodynamic Therapy, 2023
The aim of this study was to compare bipolar disorder (BD) patients with age- and sex-matched healthy individuals in order to assess the choroidal structural alterations, retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness, and retinal changes in BD patients using encanhed depth imaging optic coherence tomography (EDI-OCT).For this research, 39 eyes of BD ...

Microrobotic Catheterization of the Ophthalmic Artery for Targeted Treatment of Retinoblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A microrobotic platform is presented that allows teleoperated and autonomous navigation of flow‐driven magnetic microcatheters, MagFlow, into the ophthalmic artery for superselective intra‐arterial infusion of chemotherapy to treat retinoblastoma. Extensive benchtop validations with patient‐derived biomimetic phantoms under optical and fluoroscopic ...

Mitomycin C versus 5-Fluorouracil for wound healing in glaucoma surgery. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
BACKGROUND: Raised intraocular pressure is a risk factor for glaucoma. One treatment option is glaucoma drainage surgery (trabeculectomy). Antimetabolites are used during surgery to reduce postoperative scarring during wound healing. Two agents in common
