Abstract This study examines the impact of soil erosion on agricultural land values in the United States (US) Midwest. Based on a novel county‐level panel data set with information on soil erosion levels and agricultural land values covering five census years (1997, 2002, 2007, 2012, and 2017), we separately investigate the direct effect of two types ...

Abstract While multiple factors explain low adoption rates of improved varieties by small‐scale farmers in sub‐Saharan Africa, a key supply‐side constraint is the limited availability of seed embodying new traits in the volume, quality, price, and timeliness required by farmers. This constraint is partly attributable to classical failures in the market

Onward Christian soldiers! Christians in the army
On the topic of Christians in the army, the author compares two traditions in Christian theology, one of which being Eusebius. In this tradition, soldiers are praised as warriors for the sake of God. A recent sermon from the USA and one from nineteenth-century Germany are analysed, compared and positioned within the tradition of Eusebius.

Abstract Large‐scale land reforms constitute a substantial redistribution of wealth and reallocation of agricultural land, which is a major form of asset and production input in developing countries. While land redistribution (from the rich to the poor) remains a highly controversial issue, extensive evidence on its effect is limited.

Formation of Gallium Monofluoride in the Coordination Sphere of Nickel
The elusive gas‐phase species gallium monofluoride forms selectively in the coordination sphere of a nickel(II) centre as a product of C(sp3)–F bond activation, with a weakly coordinating anion as the fluorine source. The herein reported gallium monofluoride ligand acts as a very strong σ‐donor ligand at nickel and serves as a fluorine donor towards ...

Predictive Registry Optimization of Molecular Adsorbates on Solid Surfaces
Local C–H “spikes” from a π‐conjugated backbone lock into graphene “pockets”. A geometric registry score turns images obtained by scanning tunneling microscopy at the solid/liquid interface into atomic‐scale adsorption models, enabling assignment of surface atropisomers in large π‐conjugated molecules.

Romans 13:1–7 in relation to Nigerian Christians’ attitudes towards social activism
Romans 13:1–7 teaches absolute submission to constituted authorities, for which reason some Christians argue against challenging government orders or policies. There are problems with this position in view because of the fact that not all governments can

The Insistence of Blackness and the Persistence of Antiblackness in Ireland
ABSTRACT This paper positions Ireland as a critical site for examining the insistence of blackness and an antiblackness created and sustained through Irish ethnonationalist imaginaries and exclusionary processes. Drawing on connected sociologies and Irish Black Studies, this enquiry argues that antiblackness in Ireland operates as a generational force,

Epimer discrimination remains challenging due to subtle NMR differences. Here, we propose a methodology based on 13C‐RCSA and RDC anisotropic parameters, enabling the assignment of two flexible tetraprenyltoluquinol epimers (1a and 1b) with remote stereoclusters.
