Constructive Approximation, 2004
This paper extends to a matrix setting many classical results from the scalar theory of orthogonal polynomials and Christoffel functions. Namely, the authors consider an \(N\times N\) matrix weight \(W\) (that is, a positive definite matrix of measures supported on \(\mathbb R\)), for which they define the sequence of matrix-valued orthonormal ...

Robot dynamics: A recursive algorithm for efficient calculation of Christoffel symbols [PDF]
Christoffel symbols of the first kind are very important in robot dynamics. They are used for tuning various proposed robot controllers, for determining the bounds on Coriolis/Centrifugal matrix, for mathematical formulation of optimal trajectory ...

A Christoffel–Darboux formula for multiple orthogonal polynomials [PDF]
Bleher and Kuijlaars recently showed that the eigenvalue correlations from matrix ensembles with external source can be expressed by means of a kernel built out of special multiple orthogonal polynomials.

Walk Generating Functions, Christoffel-Darboux Identities and the Adjacency Matrix of a Graph
Combinatorics, Probability and Computing, 1992In this work we show that that many of the basic results concerning the theory of the characteristic polynomial of a graph can be derived as easy consequences of a determinantal identity due to Jacobi. As well as improving known results, we are also able to derive a number of new ones.

Reviews in Mathematical Physics
In this paper, we obtain a new representation of Christoffel–Darboux formula for random matrix with external source and constrained eigenvalues. In order to simplify the Christoffel–Darboux formula, we define two types of orthogonal polynomials, and find out the close relation between Riemann–Hilbert problem and orthogonal polynomials. Furthermore, the
