Dehydration-Induced Loss of Corrosion Protection Properties in Chromate Conversion Coatings on Aluminum Alloy 2024-T3 [PDF]
It is well known that chromate conversion coatings (CCCs) exhibit a prompt loss in corrosion resistance when exposed to moderately elevated temperatures (60-100°C).

Multifunctional SnO2/Perovskite Interface Engineering for Efficient Perovskite Solar Cells
Mobile ions and hydroxyl groups are eliminated from the surface of tin oxide layers by utilizing the hydrolysis of aluminum chloride. Meanwhile, an aluminum oxide passivation layer is constructed during the annealing process via the chemical reaction related to the resultant aluminum complexes.

Formation Mechanism of Two‐Layered AlO(OH) Films on Aluminum Alloys via the Steam Coating Process
The mechanism of AlO (OH) film formation on Al alloys in a steam atmosphere using a new surface treatment technology, steam coating, is investigated. Liquid phase subcritical water in the autoclave promotes film formation. Furthermore, the two‐layered structure of the film originates from ion diffusion of OH− and Al3+ within the film and crystal ...
