Learning Turkish Color Names Through Crowdsourcing
Turkish color names. ABSTRACT This study explored common Turkish color names and their denotative meanings to facilitate color communication within and across languages. An internet‐based psycholinguistic experiment was conducted (available at: colornaming.net) using an unconstrained color‐naming method with the following objectives: (a) to collect ...

Improving the Empirical Formulae for CIE Daylight Illuminants
CIE daylight illuminants (D‐Series) are widely used as reference illuminants for computing the color rendering index (Ra) and color fidelity index (Rf), yet the correlated color temperature (CCT) of the generated daylight SPD deviates from the specified value, with the error growing as CCT increases.

Using a machine‐learning model trained on the color distributions of naturalistic scenes, we derived a rarity index. We then mapped naturalistic‐scene color distributions onto abstract paintings and measured preference. The main result showed that paintings with rarer color distributions tended to be preferred (r = 0.678, p < 0.001).

Effects of Spirulina Enrichment on Bread Quality: Color, Texture, Volatile, and Sensory Properties
This study explored how the addition of 1%–2% Spirulina powder affects bread quality, focusing on color, texture, volatile compounds, and sensory characteristics. Spirulina mainly influenced bread color and volatile profile, while texture remained largely unchanged. The enriched samples also showed more pronounced bitter and marine notes.

Increasing Respiration Weakens the Carbon Sink Over Two Decades in a Temperate Deciduous Forest
Using a 20‐year eddy covariance record from a temperate deciduous forest, we show that net carbon uptake declined over two decades. Both the trend and interannual variability in net carbon exchange were respiration driven, with warming winters and increasing late‐summer diffuse light driving the trend in respiration.

Dual‐color STORM resolves the precise architecture and protein distributions within hippocampal astrocytes at the nanoscale. Identification of a sparse but specific MAGL pool in CA1 astrocytic processes. Astrocytic MAGL is not synapse‐associated, suggesting a synapse‐independent role.
