Twin-Lever Multifunctional Meta-Optics With High Longitudinal Tolerance. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh)
We introduce a single‐layer, CMOS‐compatible metasurface that allows for polarization‐programmable, achromatic broadband dual‐mode imaging with high longitudinal tolerance. The twin‐lever design combines bright‐field focusing and vortex‐based edge‐enhanced imaging while managing axial intensity distribution from 488 to 633 nm.

EVALUATION OF CORRECTION METHODS OF CHROMATIC ABERRATION IN DIGITAL CAMERA IMAGES [PDF]

open access: yesISPRS Annals of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2012
This paper reports an experiment conducted to evaluate correction methods of chromatic aberrations in images acquired by a nonmetric digital camera. The chromatic aberration correction methods evaluated in the experiment are classified into two kinds ...

Chromatic-Aberration-Corrected Hyperspectral Single-Pixel Imaging

open access: yesPhotonics, 2022
With the emerging development of hyperspectral single-pixel imaging (SPI) systems, the trade-off between the simplicity of optical structure and the correction of chromatic aberration is now an essential factor to be considered.

Blind Correction of Lateral Chromatic Aberration in Raw Bayer Data

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Chromatic aberration is an error that occurs in color images due to the fact that camera lenses refract the light of different wavelengths in different angles.

Altering chromatic aberration: how this latest trend in intraocular-lens design affects visual quality in pseudophakic patients

open access: yesEye and Vision, 2023
Background Chromatic aberration of the eye results from the dispersion of polychromatic light at the interfaces of ocular media. An intraocular lens (IOL) based approach utilizing the diffractive-multifocal principle has been proposed for its correction,

Design of a Prism-Grating Wide Spectral Range Transmittance Imaging Spectrometer

open access: yesSensors, 2023
As spectroscopic detection technology rapidly advances, back-illuminated InGaAs detectors with a wider spectral range have emerged. Compared to traditional detectors such as HgCdTe, CCD, and CMOS, InGaAs detectors offer a working range of 400–1800 nm and

Continuously varifocal metalens for broadband achromatic focusing of terahertz waves

open access: yesJournal of Science: Advanced Materials and Devices, 2023
The correction of chromatic aberration is essential for promoting broadband imaging systems, which can be accomplished by recently proposed broadband achromatic metalenses (BAMs) in a more compact and efficient way compared to that of traditional optical

Ray Tracing Methods for Correcting Chromatic Aberrations in Imaging Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Optics, 2014
The correction of chromatic aberrations is typically performed using aberration formulas or by using real ray tracing. While the use of aberration formulas might be effective for some simple optical systems, it has limitations for complex and fast ...

STUDY ON HIGH RESOLUTION MEMBRANE-BASED DIFFRACTIVE OPTICAL IMAGING ON GEOSTATIONARY ORBIT [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2017
Diffractive optical imaging technology provides a new way to realize high resolution earth observation on geostationary orbit. There are a lot of benefits to use the membrane-based diffractive optical element in ultra-large aperture optical imaging ...
