Journal of the Society for Information Display, EarlyView.A thin Maxwellian‐view VR near‐eye display based on a holographic optical element (HOE) is presented. Integrating the HOE with the display panel eliminates the structural gap, achieving an 8‐mm internal spacing. Accommodation‐independent image sharpness is experimentally verified over a 0‐ to 3.3‐D range, mitigating the vergence–accommodation conflict.

ꟻLIP‐Based Perceptual Optimization for Subpixel Rendering Filters
Journal of the Society for Information Display, EarlyView.We propose a two‐stage subpixel rendering framework combining MMSE‐based initialization and ꟻLIP‐guided perceptual optimization. The kernel is refined by minimizing the mean ꟻLIP error using a Nelder‐Mead optimizer to reduce perceptual distortion beyond RGB‐based methods.
