Evaluation of efficiency of coagulant obtained from elaborated red sludge from alumina plant

open access: yesВісник Національного технічного університету України «Київський політехнічний інститут імені Ігоря Сікорського»: Серія «Хімічна інженерія, екологія та ресурсозбереження», 2020
In document, the effectiveness of reducing the chromaticity and turbidity of the Dnipro river water was investigated and estimated by means of existing coagulants Al2(SO4)3·18H2O and FeCl3·6H2O and synthesized coagulant from the red sludge of alumina ...

Assessing the color status and daylight chromaticity of road signs through machine learning approaches

open access: yesIATSS Research, 2023
The color of road signs is a critical aspect of road safety, as it helps drivers quickly and accurately identify and respond to these signs. Properly colored road signs improve visibility during the day and make it easier for drivers to make informed ...

Wavelength Dependent PSFs and their impact on Weak Lensing Measurements

open access: yes, 2018
We measure and model the wavelength dependence of the PSF in the Hyper Suprime-Cam (HSC) Subaru Strategic Program (SSP) survey. We find that PSF chromaticity is present in that redder stars appear smaller than bluer stars in the $g, r,$ and $i$-bands at ...

DENTA: A Dual Enzymatic Nanoagent for Self‐Activating Tooth Whitening and Biofilm Disruption

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The nanoapatite with dual enzymes (DENTA) accumulates in dentinal tubules, reducing hypersensitivity caused by dental nerve exposure and facilitating continuous ROS generation through salivary glucose for effective, long‐term whitening. The dentin structures remain non‐destructive due to the low concentration of ROS, demonstrating excellent cell ...

Optical Detection of Green Emission for Non-Uniformity Film in Flat Panel Displays

open access: yesCrystals, 2018
Among colours, the green colour has the most sensitivity in human vision so that green colour defects on displays can be effortlessly perceived by a photopic eye with the most intensity in the wavelength 555 nm of the spectrum.

Biomimetic Iridescent Skin: Robust Prototissues Spontaneously Assembled from Photonic Protocells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Uniform nanoparticles are induced to form arrays (photonic crystals) in the cores of biopolymer capsules, endowing these ‘protocells’ with structural color. These protocells are then assembled into large self‐standing objects, i.e., prototissues, with robust mechanical properties as well as iridescent optical properties.
