Mesoporous Silica Microspheres by Super‐Fast Alkaline Etching of Micrometer‐Sized Stöber Particles
Microscale silica particles are prepared along with a modified, scalable Stöber synthesis using the continuous addition of tetraethoxy silane to an ethanolic solution of ammonia with KCl. Etching with hydroxide ions at 95 °C gave porous analogs within minutes. Monodisperse particles are isolable in high yield after precipitation in ethanol.

Liquid–liquid equilibrium for ethanolysis systems of fish oil [PDF]
Enzymatic alcoholysis of fish oil can produce monoacylglycerols rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids at atmospheric pressure and low temperature. Biocatalysis in organic solvents helps to create a homogeneous reaction system for the reactants, ethanol and

Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) may aggravate liver fibrosis. In this study, a novel oral targeting nanoemulsion is fabricated to enhance the therapeutic effect of antifibrotic drug‐pirfenidone (PFD) on fibrosis after TACE. Studies have shown that PFD nanoemulsion can enhance the oral liver targeting effect of PFD, and effectively improve the ...

In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...
