Time Series Analysis of Chromophoric Dissolved Organic Matter (CDOM) at Perancak Estuary
International Journal of Natural Science and Engineering, 2023This study aimed at determaining the effect of sea tides on changes of CDOM, in-situ parameters and nutrients on Perancak Estuary. The subject of this study was estuary water collected from Estuary Perancak and filtered using GF/F 0.7 μm with help of injection.

The landfall of Hurricane Harvey in August 2017 provided the opportunity to study the impact of extreme freshwater discharge on chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) properties in a subtropical estuary (Galveston Bay, Texas). Both fluorescence spectroscopy (excitation-emission matrices) and a three-component parallel factor analysis (PARAFAC ...

The influence of land surface characteristics and climate conditions on the source, quantity, quality, and timing of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) fluxes to coastal waters is not well understood. The significant correlation between DOC and chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) leads to an increasing need of CDOM monitoring for understanding the

Abstract Extensive data exist on the optical properties of CDOM from terrestrial and coastal environments, yet the open oceans have been historically under-sampled. Consequently, the source and structural basis of marine CDOM optical properties are still debated.

The optical properties of chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) in Danish estuaries and coastal waters were investigated. A new method for estimating the spectral slope coefficient (S) was examined and found to give a closer fit for the measured absorption (92% reduction in sum of residuals) than the traditional method.

CDOM is a ubiquitous component of the dissolved organic matter pool which absorbs UV and visible light. Owing to its optical properties it plays a critical role in photochemistry and biogeochemistry in aquatic systems. Extensive data exist on the optical properties of CDOM from both terrestrial and coastal environments, yet the open oceans have been ...
