Clinical Practice Guideline for Evaluation and Management of Peripheral Nervous System Manifestations in Sjögren's Disease

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objectives Sjögren's disease is an autoimmune disorder that can impact multiple organ systems, including the peripheral nervous system (PNS). PNS manifestations, which can exist concurrently, include mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and autonomic nervous system neuropathies. To help patients and providers in the decision‐making process, we developed

Combining Three Peripheral Blood Biomarkers to Stratify Rheumatoid Arthritis‐Associated Interstitial Lung Disease Risk

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective The purpose was to evaluate a biomarker score consisting of MUC5B rs35705950 promoter variant, plasma matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)‐7, and serum anti‐malondialdehyde‐acetaldehyde (anti‐MAA) antibody for RA‐associated interstitial lung disease risk stratification. Methods Using a multicenter cohort of US veterans with RA, we performed a cross‐

An observational study to understand burden and cost of care in adults diagnosed with refractory chronic cough (RCC) or unexplained chronic cough (UCC)

open access: yesRespiratory Research
Background Refractory and unexplained chronic cough (RCC and UCC) necessitate frequent referral for specialist evaluations, but data on healthcare resource utilisation and costs are lacking.

Alkali Ion‐Incorporated HfO2 Dielectrics for Reconfigurable Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) transistor with an alkali cation‐integrated hafnium dioxide (HfO2) dielectric exhibiting synaptic behavior via ion retention. The solution‐based film fabrication strategy overcomes the limitations of atomic layer deposition (ALD) and precursor coating, enabling the control of synaptic retention ...

Health‐related quality of life following total minimally invasive, hybrid minimally invasive or open oesophagectomy: a population‐based cohort study

open access: yesBJS (British Journal of Surgery), EarlyView., 2020
All patients operated for oesophageal cancer in Sweden from 2013 to April 2018 were identified, and 246 patients were recruited to this population‐based nationwide Swedish study. The results show that longitudinal health‐related quality of life after minimally invasive oesophagectomy was similar to that of the open surgical approach.

From In‐Silico Optimized Microfabrication to Experimental Validation: Engineering a Tridimensional Epi‐Intraneural Interface

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An epi‐intraneural interface is developed through in silico optimization and a novel tridimensional microfabrication pipeline. The device integrates penetrating and epineural contacts on a flexible substrate. Mechanical, electrochemical, and in vivo testing in rat and pig reveal robust implantation, low‐threshold activation, and site‐dependent ...

Chronic cough. Who is to blame and what to do?

open access: yesМедицинский совет, 2015
The literature review describes a new theory of the chronic cough pathogenesis. In recent years, the specific cough receptors were discovered; changes in their sensitivity were found to be the key factor chronic cough.
