Incidence, Risk Factors and Management of Adverse Events in Contemporary Real‐World Care of Children with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective We describe the frequency, risk factors, severity, and management of actionable and serious adverse events (AAE and SAE) in children with newly diagnosed Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) in Canada. Methods We enrolled patients within 3 months of JIA diagnosis in the Canadian Alliance of Pediatric Rheumatology Investigators (CAPRI) Registry,

Sex‐ and Time‐Resolved Physiological and Gut Ecosystem Responses to a Food‐Grade Microbiome‐Targeted Intervention in Collegiate Endurance Athletes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In collegiate endurance athletes, a 6‐week randomized CPYE intervention yielded time‐ and sex‐dependent shifts in field‐based cardiorespiratory, metabolic, and redox indices, accompanied by changes in gut multi‐omics profiles. An exploratory extension during intensified training generates hypotheses warranting future validation.

Spatial Transcriptomics Reveals a T Cell‐Mediated Microglial Activation Axis of Immune Checkpoint Inhibition‐Related Adverse Events in the Brain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Immune checkpoint inhibition (ICI) reshapes the hippocampal neuroimmune niche. Spatial transcriptomic profiling and human brain histological analyses identify neuroinflammation and altered neuronal and glial programs. Notably, T cell depletion prevents ICI‐driven microglial activation, establishing the T cell–microglia crosstalk axis as a driving ...

Calcitonin gene-related peptide monoclonal antibody treatment for new daily persistent headache

open access: yesThe Journal of Headache and Pain
Background New daily persistent headache (NDPH) is a rare headache disorder that often resembles chronic migraine (CM) phenotypically, but unlike CM is daily from onset.

Classification, epidemiology and impact of chronic daily headaches [PDF]

open access: yesEinstein (São Paulo), 2004
Chronic, daily headaches are divided according to Lipton and Silberstein into 4 subtipes: chronic migraine, chronic tension-type headache, new daily persisten headache, and hemicrania continua.

Impact of socio-demographic factors on quality of life of primary chronic daily headache patients

open access: yesIndian Journal of Pain, 2013
Primary chronic daily headaches (CDHs) have a considerable negative impact on patients. It leads to poor quality of life (QOL) and diminished ability to function in day-to-day life, in spite of this sufficient work has not been done in this area in India.

Temporal‐Targeted Accelerated 40 Hz tACS Enhances Cognitive Function and Network Integration in Alzheimer's Disease: A Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bilateral temporal accelerated 40‐Hz tACS improves cognitive function in patients with Alzheimer's disease. Resting‐state fNIRS identifies treatment‐related increases in frontotemporoparietal functional connectivity, which are associated with cognitive improvement. ABSTRACT The temporal lobes are key hubs for memory and cognition.

Inhibition of MEKK3 Prevents Cerebral Cavernous Malformation Progression Via Restoring Endothelial Integrity and Restricting Microglial Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we demonstrate that aberrant MEKK3 signaling in endothelial cells and microglia drives the progression of cerebral cavernous malformations (CCMs). Furthermore, we identify DPDH as a potent small‐molecule MEKK3 inhibitor with substantial therapeutic potential for CCM treatment.
