Abstract Epilepsy syndromes are distinct electroclinical entities which have been recently defined by the International League Against Epilepsy Nosology and Definitions Task Force. Each syndrome is associated with “a characteristic cluster of clinical and EEG features, often supported by specific etiologic findings”.
