Introduction: Charting the Evolution of English and Anglophone Writing in Asia
ABSTRACT This introductory article explores the history of the English language and literatures in the Asian ‘Outer Circle’ countries, or English in its ‘second diaspora’, focusing primarily on literature from its beginnings to the present. Due to space limitations, the scope is further narrowed to poetry and the novel – the two genres that, arguably ...

Duality of Complex Systems Built from Higher-Order Elements
The duality of nonlinear systems built from higher-order two-terminal Chua’s elements and independent voltage and current sources is analyzed. Two different approaches are now being generalized for circuits with higher-order elements: the classical ...

Old but Sold? Innovation Through Tradition Strategy for Export and the Role of Family Involvement
ABSTRACT Despite the notable body of research, the family firm (FF) internationalization literature has overlooked the role of innovation strategies in explaining FFs' export performance. We focus on the innovation through tradition (ITT) strategy—specifically, the degree to which a firm leverages its firm‐specific, mature (i.e., past) knowledge in the

Frequency Hysteresis Phenomena in the Switched Chua's Circuit
In this paper we introduce the so called frequency switched Chua's circuit, based on the introduction of a switch device into the Chua's circuit. The dynamics of this system has been investigated both numerically and experimentally with respect to the ...

Memristors based on trimethylsulfonium (phenanthroline)tetraiodobismuthate have been utilised as a nonlinear node in a delayed feedback reservoir. This system allowed an efficient classification of acoustic signals, namely differentiation of vocalisation of the brushtail possum (Trichosurus vulpecula).

Chaotic dynamics of the driven Chua's circuit
The nonautonomous version of Chua's circuit exhibits a wide variety of bifurcation phenomena and chaotic structures depending upon the strength of the forcing parameters. In addition, control of chaos can be effected in this circuit.

Polymer‐Based Probabilistic Bits for Thermodynamic Computing
Electropolymerized conjugated polymers function as intrinsic entropy sources for probabilistic computing. Thermally driven conformational fluctuations of pendant triphenylamine groups produce stochastic resistance dynamics that are transduced into voltage‐gated probabilistic bits following logistic transfer functions identical to those of stochastic ...

Two impulsive synchronization studies using SC-CNN-based circuit and Chua's circuit
The impulsive synchronization method has been applied to several well-known chaotic circuits and systems such as Chua's circuit, Lorenz system and hyperchaotic circuit in the literature.
