Design of Safe and Efficient Adenine Base Editors via Protein Language Model Screening for Osteoarthritis Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Base editors enable precise genome modification and have emerged as a promising therapeutic approach for correcting diseases caused by single‐nucleotide variants. While the current efficient version of adenine base editors (ABEs), such as ABE8e, exhibits exceptional efficiency for A‐to‐G conversions, their clinical translation is hindered by ...

Mitochondria and Neuromast Tagging With Fluorescent Gallium‐Triapine Analogues: In Cellulo MP FLIM and Zebrafish Live Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fluorescent BODIPY‐conjugated thiosemicarbazone ligands and their Ga(III), In(III), and Fe(III) complexes, inspired by Triapine, are developed as theranostic agents. Multiphoton FLIM and confocal microscopy in cancer cells and zebrafish reveal real‐time uptake, mitochondrial localisation, and whilst spectroscopic assays indicated preserved complex ...

Gazelles as Job Creators – A Survey and Interpretation of the Evidence [PDF]

open access: yes
It is often claimed that small and young firms account for a disproportionately large share of net employment growth. We conduct a meta analysis of the empirical evidence regarding whether net employment growth rather is generated by a few rapidly ...

Beyond Transconductance: Cell‐Polymer Coupling Determines Fidelity in Action Potential Recording via Electrolyte‐Gated Polymer Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
High electrical performance alone does not guarantee efficient bioelectronic signal transduction. Despite excellent mixed ionic‐electronic conduction, recordings from cardiomyocytes reveal that p(g2T‐TT)‐based OECTs predominantly transduce field potential FP‐like signals due to weak cell‐polymer coupling.

Unemployment and labor market dynamics in Russia [PDF]

open access: yes
The past 15 months have seen the beginning of structural change in Russia but a failure of the economy to stabilize. The balance sheet, conclude the authors suggests that a return to centralized control remain almost impossible, but the dencentralization

Numerical Analysis of Lubrication and Oil Churning Power Loss of High Contact Ratio Internal Gear Pair

open access: yesLubricants
Planetary gear is the mainstream deceleration transmission device, and its derivative form of high contact ratio internal gear adopts the structure of full internal meshing. While improving the compactness and efficiency of the transmission, it is necessary to focus on its lubrication characteristics and churning power consumption. In this paper, based

RENAL‐CHIP: Rejection Evaluation via Non‐Invasive Analysis of Circulating Podocytes With Herringbone‐Chip Isolation Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RENAL‐CHIP converts 1 mL of peripheral blood into a biopsy‐equivalent readout of renal‐allograft fate. By magnetic capture and release of donor‐derived circulating podocytes through a herringbone microfluidic chip, 84% capture, 96% release and single‐cell RNA evidence of rejection‐specific immunity are achieved.
