A key to genera of South American Deltocephalini (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae) with descriptions of new taxa and nomenclatural changes

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Entomology, 2018
A key to genera of South American Deltocephalini Dallas, 1870 based on adult males is presented. Two new genera, each based on a single new species from Argentina are described and illustrated: Corrientesia gen. n. based on type species C. ochrescens sp.

Complete mitochondrial genome of Rhytidodus viridiflavus (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Idiocerinae)

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2020
The complete mitochondrial genome of Rhytidodus viridiflavus was determined for the first time in the present study. Based on annotation, the mitogenome was found to have circular shape, with 16,842 bp in size, containing 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs ...

The complete mitochondrial genome of the leafhopper Idiocerus herrichii (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Idiocerinae)

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2020
We determined the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of the leafhopper Idiocerus herrichii by next-generation sequencing. Similar to the typical mtDNA of insects, the mitogenome is 15,489 bp in size, with an A + T content of 78.4%, comprises 13 ...

The complete mitochondrial genome of Bothrogonia qiongana (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) with phylogenetic analyses

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2020
The species of Bothrogonia qiongana was reported by Yang and Li in 1980. The mitogenome is 15,788 bp in length, including 37 genes and a control region, with an overall A + T content of 76.9%. Most of the PCGs start with ATN (ATA, ATC, ATT, ATG), but ND5

Prey Range and Voracity of Main Insect Natural Enemies of Pests in Corsican Clementine Orchards

open access: yesEntomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, EarlyView.
To assess the biocontrol potential on the main arthropod pests of clementine orchards in Corsica, laboratory experiments were carried out using five potential predators. Their prey range and voracity were tested on three pest species. Then, a global predation rate index was calculated at the scale of the entire community of insect predators.
