Ecology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2025.Using eDNA metabarcoding, we identified 61 fish species in the Jinsha river during the early stage of the Yangtze river fishing ban. Fish diversity showed seasonal and regional variation, with Cypriniformes as the dominant group. Key environmental factors like temperature and dissolved oxygen were closely linked to diversity patterns.
