Spherical and Aspherical Lenses for Boosting the Performance of Terahertz Imaging Systems
Advanced Photonics Research, Volume 6, Issue 7, July 2025.This study investigates the enhancement of terahertz (THz) detection through the terajet effect using mesoscale dielectric lenses of various geometries. Spherical, aspherical, and cubic polytetrafluoroethylene lenses are evaluated at 0.15 and 0.3 THz, demonstrating significant improvements in responsivity and noise reduction.

ChemPlusChem, Volume 90, Issue 7, July 2025.The article evaluates polyoxometalate–ionic liquids (POM–ILs) as biocidal agents against lampenflora in the UNESCO‐listed Pommery Champagne cellar. POM–ILs effectively inhibit microbial colonization over one year with minimal visual impact and outperform the commercial biocide Preventol RI80.

Interleukin‐11 promotes lung adenocarcinoma tumourigenesis and immune evasion
Clinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 7, July 2025.IL‐11 drives tumour progression and is linked to poor survival in lung adenocarcinoma patients, as well as an immunosuppressive tumour microenvironment. Antibody targeting of the IL‐11 receptor (IL‐11RA) shows significant anti‐tumour effects in a patient‐derived xenograft model highlighting IL‐11 as a compelling therapeutic target.

Ecology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 7, July 2025.Reproductive investment in eggs can be made egalitarian or unevenly distributed within clutches. We investigated the pattern of investment in great tits (Parus major) from a Spanish population using generalized additive mixed‐effects models. Our results indicate that females consistently invest less in the first eggs.
