LRM3 positively regulates stem lodging resistance by degradating MYB6 transcriptional repressor in soybean

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 23, Issue 7, Page 2978-2993, July 2025.
Summary Stem lodging resistance plays a critical role in maintaining soybean yield stability, yet the molecular mechanisms governing stem development and lodging tolerance remain poorly understood. Here, we report the characterization of lodging‐related mutant 3 (lrm3), a weak‐stemmed soybean line exhibiting increased lodging susceptibility.

Electrochemical Three‐component Synthesis of Alkenesulfonates from Cinnamic Acids, SO2, and Alcohols

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 12, June 17, 2025.
An electrochemical three‐component synthesis of alkyl alkenesulfonates from cinnamic acids, SO2, and alkyl alcohols is reported. This metal‐free process employs inexpensive and readily available graphite electrodes in combination with easy‐to‐use stock solutions of SO2 and enables a straightforward decarboxylative preparation of styrene sulfonates via ...

Development of flow methodologies for the [2+2] photocycloaddition of cinnamic acid derivatives and biological exploration of truxinic acid derived scaffolds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Cinnamic acids and their derivatives are building blocks for cyclobutanes in many natural products. In nature, dimerization of these derivatives is thought to occur through a [2+2] photocycloaddition.

Cinnamic Acid Metabolism in Man

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1940
The fate of cinnamic acid (C6H5CH:CHCOOH) after its administration to the animal organism has been examined repeatedly. The following facts are known. Cinnamic acid given by mouth to humans is oxidized to benzoic acid which is excreted in the urine linked with glycine in the form of hippuric acid.1, 2 In cats and dogs after the administration of ...
