Optimizing rheological performance of unsaturated polyester resin with bio-based reactive diluents: A comprehensive analysis of viscosity and thermomechanical properties

open access: yesPolymer Testing, 2023
Bio-based reactive diluents (RD) have been explored as alternative to styrene (STY) in unsaturated polyester resin (UPR). Among the different candidates, acrylated epoxidized soybean oil (AESO) and epoxidized linseed oil (ELO) stand out as triglyceride ...

Generation of Self‐Organizing Macrovascular Constructs by Bioprinting Human iPSC‐Derived Mesodermal Progenitor Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Vascularization remains a major obstacle in tissue engineering. Here, we introduce a bioprinting strategy to generate centimeter‐scale, self‐organizing “mother vessel” constructs from iPSC‐derived hiMPCs. By optimizing bioink composition, printing was accomplished in a single‐step approach. Within one week, hiMPCs differentiated into both CD31+

Ultrastable Self‐Cross‐linkable Electro‐Optic Materials Based on a Bisanthracene Scaffold

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A novel bisanthracene‐based self‐cross‐linkable electro‐optic chromophore (TD2) is developed. TD2 exhibits a high r33 of 141 pm/V and a cross‐linked Tg up to 195 °C, retaining 99.75% of its initial EO response after 500 h at 85 °C, showing record‐high thermal stability for single‐molecule self‐cross‐linking EO materials.

Superacid-promoted dual C-C bond formation by Friedel-Crafts alkylation and acylation of ethyl cinnamates: Synthesis of indanones [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A superacid (triflic acid) promoted dual C-C bond formation via intermolecular Friedel-Crafts alkylation (Michael addition type) and intramolecular acylation for the efficient synthesis of 3-substituted indan-1-ones is presented.

Very short and efficient syntheses of the spermine alkaloid kukoamine A and analogs using isolable succinimidyl cinnamates

open access: yes, 2005
Direct selective acylation of the primary amino functions of spermine and spermidine with a variety of isolable succinimidyl cinnamates, followed by catalytic hydrogenation, gave high yields of the spermine alkaloid kukoamine A and analogs suitable for ...
