MoS$_{2}$ nanosheets incorporated α-Fe$_{2}$O$_{3}$/ZnO nanocomposite with enhanced photocatalytic dye degradation and hydrogen production ability [PDF]
We have synthesized MoS$_{2}$ incorporated $\alpha$-Fe$_{2}$O$_{3}$/ZnO nanocomposites by the hydrothermal process. The effect of incorporating ultrasonically exfoliated MoS$_{2}$ on the photocatalytic performance of $\alpha$-Fe$_{2}$O$_{3}$/ZnO nanocomposites has been demonstrated.

Diffusion of antibiotics through a biofilm in the presence of diffusion and absorption barriers [PDF]
We propose a model of antibiotic diffusion through a bacterial biofilm when diffusion and/or absorption barriers develop in the biofilm. The idea of this model is: We deduce details of the diffusion process in a medium in which direct experimental study is difficult, based on probing diffusion in external regions.

In-situ crosslinked wet spun collagen triple helices with nanoscale-regulated ciprofloxacin release capability [PDF]
The design of antibacterial-releasing coatings or wrapping materials with controlled drug release capability is a promising strategy to minimise risks of infection and medical device failure in vivo. Collagen fibres have been employed as medical device building block, although they still fail to display controlled release capability, competitive wet ...

Bragg diffraction of large organic molecules [PDF]
We demonstrate Bragg diffraction of the antibiotic ciprofloxacin and the dye molecule phthalocyanine at a thick optical grating. The observed patterns show a single dominant diffraction order with the expected dependence on the incidence angle as well as oscillating population transfer between the undiffracted and diffracted beams.

Topical vs Combination Ciprofloxacin in the Management of Discharging Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media [PDF]
Objectives: To study the microbial flora and determine the efficacy of topical ciprofloxacin ear drops in comparison with combination of topical and oral ciprofloxacin as first line management in patients diagnosed with chronic suppurative otitis ...

Ciprofloxacin-induced hematuria [PDF]
We used ciprofloxacin, a quinolone-derivative, to treat a lung infection due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa in an adult cystic fibrosis patient. On three different occasions the use of ciprofloxacin was associated with the development of an asymptomatic hematuria with red blood cell casts.
