Application of CuFeLDH–NCNT in ultrasound-assisted-Fenton-like process for removing ciprofloxacin from aqueous solutions

open access: yesWater Science and Technology
In this study, the mesoporous material NCNT was prepared by treating carbon nanotubes (CNT) with hydrazine and subsequently loaded with Cu-Fe layered double hydroxide (CuFeLDH) to create a multiphase catalyst (CuFeLDH-NCNT).

Rational Design of MOF‐Based Multifunctional Bio‐Nanoreactor for Efficient Detection and Photo‐Degradation of Chloramphenicol

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multi‐functional photo‐enzymatic nanoreactor HRP@Fe‐NU‐1003 is developed through co‐immobilization of horseradish peroxidase and FeCl2 on a photosensitive metal–organic frameworks NU‐1003. This material showcases remarkable sensitivity and efficacy in both detecting and subsequently photo‐degrading chloramphenicol residues in food products.

Enhanced Catalytic Cycle of Glucose Oxidation and Reactive Species with ROS and RHS Generation Mediated by Galvanic Engineering of Dual Atomic Sites on Covalent Organic Frameworks Demonstrating Synergistic Bimetal Tumor Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A galvanic replacement is used to control dual atomic metals (Au and Ir) on a covalent organic framework (COF) nanoparticle and then coated with hyaluronic acid (HA). Under a specific bimetallic ratio (COF/Aux/Ir1‐x), the optimization can be achieved for the conversion of intracellular nutrients into reactive species (HOCl and O2• ─) and effectively ...

Single-molecule imaging of DNA gyrase activity in living Escherichia coli [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Bacterial DNA gyrase introduces negative supercoils into chromosomal DNA and relaxes positive supercoils introduced by replication and transiently by transcription. Removal of these positive supercoils is essential for replication fork progression and for the overall unlinking of the two duplex DNA strands, as well as for ongoing transcription.

Tailored Fluorescent Metal–Organic Frameworks Hybrid Membrane Sensor Arrays: Simultaneous and Selective Quantification of Multiple Antibiotics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A filterable paper‐based fluorescent metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) sensor array is developed for one‐to‐one recognition and simultaneous quantification of multiple antibiotics. Three representative MOFs are strategically designed to exhibit exceptional affinity and specificity for the target antibiotic.
