Lucid Dreaming Frequency Associated With Grey–White Matter Networks: An Exploratory Multimodal MRI Study

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lucid dreaming, defined as the experience of becoming aware of dreaming while dreaming, offers a unique window into a state of consciousness characterised by a blending of the sensory vividness of REM sleep with the self‐awareness of wakefulness. While past functional imaging has shed light on the neural activity supporting lucid dreaming, the

Links between trauma and psychotic symptoms: Integrating cognitive behavioural and neuropsychoanalytic models of psychosis

open access: yesPsychology and Psychotherapy: Theory, Research and Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Cognitive‐behavioural therapy for psychosis (CBTp) achieves small to modest effect sizes, which invites the question, ‘What clinical modifications might improve outcomes?’ This paper proposes an integration of CBTp with a neuropsychoanalytic approach that in clinical practice might extend the gains achieved by CBTp alone.

A comprehensive review of impedance source network DC circuit breaker topologies

open access: yesCogent Engineering
Dc microgrids (MG) have drawn more attention due to the demand for renewable energy sources, energy storage devices in distributed generation, and the separation of DC loads requiring more power converters.

Protection and post-fault recovery of large HVDC networks using partitioning and fast acting DC breakers at strategic locations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
DC fault protection arrangements for a large multi-terminal HVDC network are proposed where fast-acting DC circuit breakers are only used at strategic locations with the large DC network to be operated interconnected but partitioned into islanded DC ...

Fossil Hegemony and Capitalist Realism in Tropic of Orange

open access: yesFuture Humanities, Volume 4, Issue 1, May 2026.
ABSTRACT This article examines Karen Tei Yamashita's Tropic of Orange (1997) through the lens of Mark Fisher's influential concept ‘capitalist realism’. Scholars of petrofiction have pointed to a political ambivalence in the representation of fossil fuels, where a better understanding of fossil capital can overwhelm as much as galvanize.

Fault Diagnosis of Universal Circuit Breakers Based on Variational Mode Decomposition and WOA-DBN

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Universal circuit breakers are crucial devices in power systems, and the accuracy of their fault diagnosis is vital. However, existing diagnostic models suffer from low feature extraction rates and low diagnostic accuracy.
