Test Circuits for HVDC Circuit Breakers

IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 2017
High voltage direct current circuit breakers (HVDC CBs) are necessary for reliable and safe operation of future multi-terminal meshed HVDC grids. So far no commercially mature products of such equipment exist. A few industrial concepts as a result of advances in power electronics have been proposed and prototypes have been built.

On Tree Circuits

IEEE Transactions on Electronic Computers, 1965
This article is primarily concerned with means for finding economical tree circuit realizations?iterative applications of decompositions f(x n , x n-1 ,..., x 1 ) = F i (G i (x n , x n-1 ,..., x? i ,..., x 1 ), H i ,(x n , x n-1 ,..., x? i ,..., x 1 ), x i ) and their associated circuitry?for Boolean functions f(x n , x n-1 ,..., x 1 ).

Equivalent Circuits-2 Coupled Circuits

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1936
An equivalent circuit to represent 2 coupled circuits having distributed self -and mutual impedance and admittance is developed in this paper for the general case, and modified for certain specific cases. The application of these equivalent circuits for representation of coupled power circuits or a coupled power circuit and ground wire or metallic ...

On circuits and numbers

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1994
Summary: We establish new, yet intimate relationships between the 2-adic integers \({_2{\mathbf Z}}\) from arithmetics and digital circuits, finite and infinite, from electronics. 1) Rational numbers with an odd denominaator correspond to out put only synchronous circuits. 2) Bit-wise 2-adic mappings correspond to combinational circuits.

Circuit Decompositions and Shortest Circuit Coverings of Hypergraphs

Graphs and Combinatorics, 2018
It is one of fundamental theorems in graph theory that every even graph has a circuit decomposition. This classical result for ordinary graphs is extended in this paper for uniform bridgeless hypergraphs if the degree of every vertex is even. One of the major open problems for the shortest circuit cover was a conjecture proposed by \textit{A. Itai} and

Dynamics of Circuits and Intersecting Circuits

2012
This paper presents a combinatorial study to characterise the dynamics of intersecting Boolean automata circuits and more specifically that of double Boolean automata circuits. Explicit formulae are given to count the number of periodic configurations and attractors of these networks and a conjecture proposes a comparison between the number of ...

Circuit Breaker Protection for Industrial Circuits

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1933
The demand for continuity of service to customers, together with the need to reduce maintenance costs, and increase the safety to operators and property, has made it necessary to improve the protective devices used in the distribution circuit. In the past, this protection has been provided by knife switches and fuses.

Transforming MCT Circuits to NCVW Circuits

2012
Mapping a circuit of reversible gates to a circuit of elementary quantum gates is a key step in synthesizing quantum realizations of Boolean functions. The library containing NOT, controlled-NOT and controlled square-root-of-NOT gates has been considered extensively. In this paper, we extend the library to include fourth-root-of-NOT gates. Experimental

Bio circuit

Proceedings of the fourth international conference on Tangible, embedded, and embodied interaction, 2010
In this paper we describe Bio Circuit, an artist and designer collaborative wearable project. This project stems from our concern for ethical design and the creation of media-based interactions that reveal human interdependence with the environment.

The Motor Circuit

2005
Caenorhabditis elegans motor neurons control a range of activities including locomotion, foraging, defecation, and gender-specific functions. In this chapter,we focus primarily on motor neurons that regulate body movement, with particular emphasis on those in the ventral nerve cord (VNC).
