Accelerating Conjugate Gradient Solvers for Homogenization Problems With Unitary Neural Operators

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, Volume 127, Issue 5, 15 March 2026.
ABSTRACT Rapid and reliable solvers for parametric partial differential equations (PDEs) are needed in many scientific and engineering disciplines. For example, there is a growing demand for composites and architected materials with heterogeneous microstructures.

Some equalities for generalized inverses of matrix sums and block circulant matrices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
summary:Let $ A_1, A_2,\cdots , A_n $ be complex matrices of the same size. We show in this note that the Moore-Penrose inverse, the Drazin inverse and the weighted Moore-Penrose inverse of the sum $ \sum _{t=1}^{n} A_t$ can all be determined by the ...

Definition and Computation of Tensor‐Based Generalized Function Composition

open access: yesNumerical Linear Algebra with Applications, Volume 33, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Functions are fundamental to mathematics as they offer a structured and analytical framework to express relations between variables. While scalar and matrix‐based functions are well‐established, higher‐order tensor‐based functions have not been as extensively explored.

Range–Doppler Estimation With an EM‐Learned Prior for Pulse‐Agile Waveforms

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 62, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This letter proposes an expectation–maximisation (EM)‐based range–Doppler (RD) estimator that adaptively learns the clutter and target distributions and adjusts an RD prior map. By optimising the shrinkage strength via prior weighting, the proposed method improves RSM suppression in the region of interest.

On Jacobsthal and Jacobsthal-Lucas Circulant Type Matrices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Circulant type matrices have become an important tool in solving fractional order differential equations. In this paper, we consider the circulant and left circulant and g-circulant matrices with the Jacobsthal and Jacobsthal-Lucas numbers.

The Non-negative Inverse Eigenvalue Problem for Tridiagonal Matrix, Circulant Matrix and Symmetric Matrix

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2021
Abstract The Non-negative Inverse Eigenvalue Problem (NIEP) is a sub-problem extracted from inverse eigenvalue problem with a long history from 1930s determining the sufficient and necessary conditions in order that, σ={ λ 1,…, λ

A Novel Hybrid Image Encryption Scheme Using Henon Map for Secure Image Communication

open access: yesIET Information Security, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
The combination of chaos theory and cryptographic methodologies constitutes a pivotal aspect of the information security. Owing to certain attributes of images, like their large data capacity and significant redundancy, image encryption needs specialized techniques instead of conventional text encryption.

A Fast Sparse Block Circulant Matrix Vector Product [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In the context of computed tomography (CT), iterative image reconstruction techniques are gaining attention because high-quality images are becoming computationally feasible. They involve the solution of large systems of equations, whose cost is dominated by the sparse matrix vector product (SpMV).

Joint 2‐D LFM Modulation and Mismatched Filter Design in Dual‐Function Radar‐Communication System

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper proposes a joint 2‐D LFM modulation and mismatched filtering design for military‐grade dual‐function radar‐communication systems. The novel scheme modulates data onto both the initial frequency and chirp rate of LFM pulses, boosting data rates whilst preserving the constant‐envelope property critical for high‐power transmission.

Circulant Games [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper presents a class of finite n x n bimatrix (2-player) games we coin Circulant Games. In Circulant Games, each player's payoff matrix is a circulant matrix, i.e.\ each row vector is rotated one element relative to the preceding row vector.
