Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Random pore structure and REV scale flow analysis of engine particulate filter based on LBM

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2020
In this article, lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is used to simulate the multi-scale flow characteristics of the engine particulate filter at the pore scale and the representative elementary volume (REV) scale, respectively. Four kinds of random wall-pore

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Channel Shape Effects on Device Instability of Amorphous Indium–Gallium–Zinc Oxide Thin Film Transistors

open access: yesMicromachines, 2020
Channel shape dependency on device instability for amorphous indium–gallium–zinc oxide (a-IGZO) thin film transistors (TFTs) is investigated by using various channel shape devices along with systematic electrical characterization including DC I-V ...

Intersymbol Interference for Electrophoretic Molecular Communication in Circular Duct Channels

open access: yesIEEE Communications Letters, 2022
This paper investigates electrophoretic molecular communication (EMC) operating in circular duct channels. EMC utilizes the time-varying electrophoretic force that can controllably induce the movement of charged particles to enhance communication performance.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.
