Circular Law for Noncentral Random Matrices [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Theoretical Probability, 2010
Let $(X_{jk})_{j,k\geq 1}$ be an infinite array of i.i.d. complex random variables, with mean 0 and variance 1. Let $\la_{n,1},...,\la_{n,n}$ be the eigenvalues of $(\frac{1}{\sqrt{n}}X_{jk})_{1\leq j,k\leq n}$. The strong circular law theorem states that with probability one, the empirical spectral distribution $\frac{1}{n}(\de_{\la_{n,1}}+...+\de_ ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Structuring and centralizing breast cancer real-world biomarker data from pathology reports through C-LAB artificial intelligence platform

open access: yesDigital Health
Purpose To evaluate the effectiveness of C-LAB ® , an artificial intelligence (AI) platform, in extracting, structuring, and centralizing biomarker data from breast cancer pathology reports within the challenging, heterogeneous dataset of the Institut de

The Circular Law for random regular digraphs [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales de l'Institut Henri Poincaré, Probabilités et Statistiques, 2019
Let $\log^Cn\le d\le n/2$ for a sufficiently large constant $C>0$ and let $A_n$ denote the adjacency matrix of a uniform random $d$-regular directed graph on $n$ vertices. We prove that as $n$ tends to infinity, the empirical spectral distribution of $A_n$, suitably rescaled, is governed by the Circular Law.

Preoperative circulating tumor cells integrated with imaging analysis for prognostic evaluation in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detecting circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in blood before surgery may help predict outcomes in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Here, we show when combined with tumor size and lymph node involvement from routine imaging, CTC status identifies high‐risk patients with poorer survival—offering a simple, minimally invasive tool ...

Legal responsibility for developers of flats filed for bankruptcy in the perspective of SEMA number 3 of 2023

open access: yesLaw and Safety
This paper discusses the legal position of flat developers who have two or more creditors and are unable to fulfill their obligations to pay debts that are due. Under the provisions in the Bankruptcy Law, a debtor who is unable to pay its debts that have

Complex Hermite polynomials: from the semi-circular law to the circular law

open access: yesCommunications on Stochastic Analysis, 2008
Summary: We study asymptotics of orthogonal polynomial measures of the form \(|\mathcal H_N|^2d\gamma\) where \(\mathcal H_N\) are real or complex Hermite polynomials with respect to the Gaussian measure \(\gamma\). By means of differential equations on Laplace transforms, interpolation between the (real) arcsine law and the (complex) uniform ...

Evaluating the effect of γ‐oryzanol on MASLD pathology using a medaka fish model

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study explores a liver disease called MASLD, which is increasing worldwide and can lead to serious damage. Researchers used medaka fish instead of rodents to test a food compound, γ‐oryzanol. Fish fed this compound had less liver fat and healthier gut bacteria.

Conceptualising Waste Prevention under EU Law in the Context of the Circular Economy

open access: yesBratislava Law Review
The transition from a linear to a circular economy is one of the principal goals of contemporary European Union policy and law, with waste prevention being the top priority.

Statistical Analysis of Hydrodynamic Forces in Power-Law Fluid Flow in a Channel: Circular Versus Semi-Circular Cylinder

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2022
This numerical study is about the steady incompressible non-Newtonian fluid flow in a channel with static obstacles. The flow field is governed by the Generalized Navier-Stokes equations incorporating the constitutive relation of power-law fluids.
