Low Loss Transmission Circular Polarizer for KU Band Application
Low loss transmission circular polarizer is proposed for Ku band applications. The designed structure consists of two closely cross metallic strips which are based on FSS for 15.25 GHz and 15.28 GHz applications.

Circular Polarization in Scintillating Sources [PDF]
We discuss the detection of variable circular polarization (CP) in several scintillating radio sources: PKS 1519-273, PKS 0405-385 and Sgr A*. In all cases the CP is variable, with the fractional variability in the CP greatly exceeding that in total intensity.

Twisted Hi-Bi fiber DFB lasers with controllable output polarization [PDF]
We demonstrate that single polarization, hi-bi fiber DFB lasers are in general characterized by elliptical state of polarization, due to the in-built fiber birefringence axis rotation.

Optical Polarization Sensor Based on a Metalens
We investigated an optical microsensor of the polarization state of a laser light based on a metalens. In contrast to known polarization sensors based on metasurfaces that deflect different polarization types using various angles to the optical axis, the

Dual-band and high-efficiency metasurface-based circular-to-linear polarization converter.
In this paper, to achieve circular-to-linear polarization conversion, a novel polarization converter based on an anisotropic metasurface is proposed.

In this paper, we proposed a single layered meta-surface linear-to-circular polarization converter based split ring resonator structure. The periodic unit cell of the converter includes nested "S-shaped" and "C-shaped" rings.

THE CIRCULAR POLARIZATION OF SAGITTARIUS A* AT SUBMILLIMETER WAVELENGTHS [PDF]
We report the first detections of circularly polarized emission at submillimeter wavelengths from the compact radio source and supermassive black hole candidate Sgr A* at a level of 1.2\pm0.3% at 1.3 mm wavelength (230 GHz) and 1.6\pm0.3% at 860 microns (345 GHz) with the same handedness as observed at lower frequencies (1.4-15 GHz).

Circular Polarization Laser Output Through Magnetic Switch
In order to obtain an integrated structure achieving controllable circular polarization and laser output at 1310 nm, the gain and loss microcavities, magnetic microcavity, and metal layers are used to form a compound structure system, and the 4 × ...

Fusion of polarimetric channel information of PALSAR data for land cover classification
Fully polarimetric radars are capable of preserving detailed information about the targets because of the amplitude and phase information they contain which helps in distinguishing different scattering mechanisms.

Circular Polarization Vision in a Stomatopod Crustacean [PDF]
We describe the addition of a fourth visual modality in the animal kingdom, the perception of circular polarized light. Animals are sensitive to various characteristics of light, such as intensity, color, and linear polarization [1, 2]. This latter capability can be used for object identification, contrast enhancement, navigation, and communication ...
