Rapidly Evolving Circularly Polarized Emission during the 1994 Outburst of GRO J1665-40 [PDF]
We report the detection of circular polarization during the 1994 outburst of the Galactic microquasar GRO J1655-40. The circular polarization is clearly detected at 1.4 and 2.4GHz, but not at 4.8 and 8.4GHz, where its magnitude never exceeds 5 mJy.

High Levels of Circularly Polarized Emission from the Radio Jet in NGC 1275 (3C 84)
We present multi-frequency, high resolution VLBA circular polarization images of the radio source 3C 84 in the center of NGC 1275. Our images reveal a complex distribution of circular polarization in the inner parsec of the radio jet, with local levels ...

A Microstrip Antenna Achieves Dual Polarization Conversion by Rotating Metasurface
To expand the channel capacity of a traditional single-polarization reconfigurable antenna, a design method for a dual-polarization reconfigurable microstrip antenna loaded with a passive metasurface was proposed.

Dispersion Analysis of Twist-Symmetric Dielectric Waveguides
We propose a circular twist-symmetric dielectric waveguide that is polarization-selective. In the practical implementation of optical fibers, a selective circular polarization is more convenient than its linearly polarized counterpart where previous ...

Evidence for cosmic neutrino background form CMB circular polarization [PDF]
The primordial anisotropies of the cosmic microwave background are linearly polarized via Compton-scattering. On the other hand, a primordial degree of circular polarization of the Cosmic Microwave Background is not observationally excluded. In this work,

Magnetically induced circular polarization
Helium atoms excited to an aligned (1s3d)/sup 3/D state are produced by electron impact parallel to a magnetic field. The initial alignment of the atomic state evolves into an orientation with finite angular momentum along the magnetic field direction and thus gives rise to a circularly polarized component in the (1s3d)/sup 3/D..-->..(1s2p)/sup 3/P ...

Linear and circular-polarization conversion in X-band using anisotropic metasurface
An ultrathin single-layer metasurface manifesting both linear cross-polarization conversion (CPC) and linear-to-circular polarization (LP-to-CP) conversion in X-band is presented in this research.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Polarization immunity of magnetoresistivity response under Microwave excitation
We analyze theoretically the dependence of the microwave polarization sate and sense on the magnetoresistivity response of two-dimensional electron systems. Linear and circular polarization have been considered with different senses and directions.
