Circular SAR Imaging Approximated by Spotlight Processing

2006 7th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation & EM Theory, 2006
In this paper, the differences between circular synthetic aperture radar (CSAR) and traditional linear synthetic aperture radar are briefly analyzed with mathematical model of CSAR introduced. To verify the conclusion that CSAR can get much higher resolution than traditional linear SAR can, even with the same radar parameters, we present an ...

Compressed sensing technique for circular SAR imaging

IET Conference Publications, 2009
Compressed sensing (CS) has been receiving a lot of interest because it provides possibilities to reconstruct signals or images from significantly fewer samples than Nyquist theorem acquire. In this paper, we apply this technique to circular SAR (CSAR).

Range focusing for large scene circular SAR

2012 IEEE National Aerospace and Electronics Conference (NAECON), 2012
A recent circular synthetic aperture radar data collection contained various vehicles and calibration targets placed throughout a 5 km scene. By observing multiple orbits of the radar, the down-range distance measurements to scattering features show noticeable drift on the order of 2 m from orbit to orbit.

Reconnaissance with slant plane circular SAR imaging

IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 1996
This paper presents a method for imaging from the slant plane data collected by a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) over the full rotation or a partial segment of a circular flight path. A Fourier analysis for the Green's function of the imaging system is provided. This analysis is the basis of an inversion for slant plane circular SAR data.

Generalized SL0 algorithm for 3D circular SAR imaging

2018 22nd International Microwave and Radar Conference (MIKON), 2018
This paper aims to solve the problem of trajectory optimization for the radar-equipped aircraft. The Compressive Sensing (CS) technique is used to reduce temporal and spatial observation requirements with the preservation of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) image quality. The SAR and CS techniques and the SL0 algorithm are briefly introduced.

Data processing in frequency imaging of circular SAR

2015 IEEE 5th Asia-Pacific Conference on Synthetic Aperture Radar (APSAR), 2015
This paper proposes an algorithm to process the data acquired of the targets underneath the circular center, which cannot be focused by frequency algorithms directly. Using the vector expression, the azimuth frequency modulation rate is partitioning into velocity and acceleration parts. After compensation of the acceleration parts, the circular path is

Moving target detection based on Circular Video SAR

2019 IEEE International Conference on Signal, Information and Data Processing (ICSIDP), 2019
Video Synthetic Aperture Radar (Video-SAR) achieves radar video observation by continuously monitoring a certain area to form continuous image data of the target, and it plays an important role in civil and military fields. The SAR image of the moving target is defocused and deviates from its true position, but in its real position, a shadow area ...

SARS‐CoV‐2, SARS‐CoV, and MERS‐CoV encode circular RNAs of spliceosome‐independent origin

Journal of Medical Virology, 2022
Abstract Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a newly recognized component of the transcriptome with critical roles in autoimmune diseases and viral pathogenesis. To address the importance of circRNA in RNA viral transcriptome, we systematically identified and characterized circRNAs encoded by the RNA genomes of betacoronaviruses using both ...

Spatial baseline decorrelation of geosynchronous circular SAR interferometry

Proceedings of 2011 IEEE CIE International Conference on Radar, 2011
With appropriate orbit parameters, the circular SAR imaging mode can be realized on the geosynchronous orbit satellite to get high resolution three-dimensional (3D) image. It would also overcome the coverage and revisit period limitation. Repeat pass inrerferometry for geosynchronous circular SAR (GEOCSAR) could be carried out, comparing images taken ...

Dem Extraction Using C-Band Circular Sar Data

IGARSS 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2019
Circular Synthetic Aperture Radar(CSAR) has become a hotspot with its characteristic of elevation plane resolution and all-aspect observing ability. Digital elevation model (DEM) extraction in urban arears by using single-pass CSAR data without requiring additional knowledge is a subject of interest.
