Processing Of Circular SAR Trajectories With Fast Factorized Back-Projection

open access: yes, 2011
This paper describes the implementation of an efficient implementation of a Fast Factorized Back Projection (FFBP) algorithm for Circular SAR (CSAR) trajectories for real airborne data.

Position and Orientation System Error Analysis and Motion Compensation Method Based on Acceleration Information for Circular Synthetic Aperture Radar

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Circular synthetic aperture radar (CSAR) possesses the capability of multi-angle observation, breaking through the geometric observation constraints of traditional strip SAR and holding the potential for three-dimensional imaging.

Increase in CH4 Emissions in a Pantanal Wetland Lagoon Due to Extreme Drought and Sediment Exposure

open access: yesInternational Review of Hydrobiology, Volume 110, Issue 2, Page 90-99, December 2025.
ABSTRACT The Pantanal, one of the largest wetlands on Earth, stores substantial carbon in its diverse ecosystems but faces increasing threats, such as fires, poor soil management, deforestation, and climate change impacts that may elevate CH₄ emissions.

The Unexploited Treasures of Hydrological Observations Beyond Streamflow for Catchment Modeling

open access: yesWIREs Water, Volume 12, Issue 2, March/April 2025.
Caption: In situ and satellite‐based observations of hydrological variables beyond streamflow are valuable to improve modeling catchment hydrology (modified from Fisher 2005; CC BY‐SA 4.0). ABSTRACT While measured streamflow is commonly used for hydrological model evaluation and calibration, an increasing amount of data on additional hydrological ...

Stepwise-Regression-Based Finite Mixture Model for Multi-Aspect SAR Image Modeling

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Compared with conventional synthetic aperture radar (SAR), multi-aspect SAR can observe a scene from various aspects, thus providing a more detailed and comprehensive analysis and description of the target. As a result, an accurate, stable, and efficient

Polarimetric 3-D Reconstruction from Multi-Circular SAR at P-Band

open access: yes, 2014
Multi-circular SAR (MCSAR) is an extension of circular SAR (CSAR) characterized by the formation of a synthetic aperture in elevation with several circular flights.

Fast circular aperture synthesis in sar all-aspect target imaging

open access: yes, 2008
The objective of this research is a fast circular synthetic aperture radar (F-CSAR) algorithm. Slow-time imaging distinguishes synthetic aperture radar (SAR) from its predecessor imaging radars. SAR slow-time imaging is strongly rooted in Huygens-Fresnel

Modern machine‐learning for binding affinity estimation of protein–ligand complexes: Progress, opportunities, and challenges

open access: yesWIREs Computational Molecular Science, Volume 14, Issue 3, May/June 2024.
Machine‐learning scoring functions have to be discussed in the context of their featurization strategy, their machine‐learning approach, and their predictive task and are influenced by explainability and dataset choices. Abstract Structure‐based drug design is a widely applied approach in the discovery of new lead compounds for known therapeutic ...

Spaceborne Reflector SAR Systems with Digital Beamforming [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging enters an era where increasingly short revisit times, or large swath widths, respectively, and high spatial resolutions are requested.

Molecular Investigation of SARS‐CoV‐2 Circulating in Iranian Bats Using Real‐Time RT‐PCR for Detection of Envelop (E) Gene of the Virus

open access: yesTransboundary and Emerging Diseases, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
Background. The COVID‐19 was first reported in 2019 to cause pneumonia in people of Wuhan, Hubei province, China, is now associated with high mortality worldwide. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that SARS‐CoV‐2 (2019‐nCoV) is closely (88%–89% similarity) related to the coronavirus circulating in Rhinolophus (horseshoe bats).
