Properties of a Variable-delay Polarization Modulator [PDF]
We investigate the polarization modulation properties of a variable-delay polarization modulator (VPM). The VPM modulates polarization via a variable separation between a polarizing grid and a parallel mirror.

An LCD‐compatible complementary liquid‐crystal metasurface delivers dual‐band, dual‐polarized Ka‐band wavefront control with millisecond switching via a 10‐µm LC gap. Interlaced patch/slot pairs enable independent phase tuning at 28 and 38 GHz, while strategic 45° slot rotation suppresses parasitic resonances. Measurements on a 160 × 160‐cell prototype

Impact of topography on extraordinary magnetoresistive devices
The extraordinary magnetoresistance (EMR) effect is a form of geometric magnetoresistance that occurs when the current redistribution inside a hybrid metal-semiconductor device changes when subjected to an external out-of-plane magnetic field.

Terahertz Waveform‐Selective Antenna Using a Patch Structure Loaded with Nonlinear Circuits
A waveform‐selective antenna that integrates the functions of waveform selectivity, electromagnetic shielding, and EM wave radiation has been proposed. By integrating different nonlinear circuits and selecting appropriate component values, the antenna can achieve high reflection of either a pulse wave or a continuous wave, while allowing the other ...

Degradation effects in sc-Si PV modules subjected to natural and induced ageing after several years of field operation [PDF]
This paper presents ageing effects observed in sc-Si PV modules operating in field conditions for 18 and over 22 years. The effects of both natural ageing processes and induced ageing by external agents, causing partial or total shading of cells for a ...

Resilient Calvarial Bone Marrow Supports Retinal Repair in Type 2 Diabetes
Skull bone (calvarium) marrow in diabetic mice stay structurally intact and keeps making blood cells, unlike the bone marrow of the leg bones. The skull marrow is exposed to cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), which contains protective molecules called oxysterols.

A novel dendritic nano‐based slippery coating (DNSC), fabricated by encapsulating carboxyl silicone oil within amino dendritic silica nanoparticles and co‐embedding them in an epoxy resin matrix. The dendritic architecture enhances nanoparticle dispersion in the matrix and establishes mechanical interlock.
