Scattering of circularly polarized radiation [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Physical Chemistry, 1983
The differential refraction and absorption of circularly polarized light was applied by Henry Eyring and co-workers to study the configuration and conformation of small molecules. The differential scattering as a function of angle of circularly polarized light can provide structural information about large scattering systems.

Dual Circularly Polarized Reflectarray With Independent Control of Polarizations [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2015
A reflectarray with independent dual-circular polarizations is proposed for the first time. The reflector panel operates in X-band and contains 97 unit-cells. It is made with a lego-type configuration allowing change manually the phase aperture distribution and demonstrating experimentally the independence of both polarizations in the same frequency ...

Analysis of Circularly Polarized CTS Arrays [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2020
This article presents an efficient analysis method for a novel continuous transverse stub (CTS) antenna. As opposed to state-of-the-art CTS antenna designs, the proposed architecture achieves circular polarization using a single CTS array and without any polarization converter.

Circularly polarized Hankel vortices

open access: yesOptics Express, 2017
We discuss vector Hankel beams with circular polarization. These beams appear as a generalization of a spherical wave with an embedded optical vortex with topological charge n. Explicit analytical relations to describe all six projections of the E- and H-field are derived. The relations are shown to satisfy Maxwell's equations.

Is the cosmic microwave background circularly polarized? [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2003
The primordial anisotropies of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) are linearly polarized via Compton-scattering. The Faraday conversion process during the propagation of polarized CMB photons through regions of the large-scale structure containing magnetized relativistic plasma, such as galaxy clusters, will lead to a circularly polarized ...

Wideband Polarization Reconfigurable Differential Circularly Polarized Antenna [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper presents a polarization reconfigurable differential circularly polarized (PRDCP) antenna with wide impedance and axial ratio (AR) bandwidth for right-hand circular polarization (RHCP) or left-hand circular polarization (LHCP). The antenna is composed of a bandwidth-improved radiator and a reconfigurable differential-to-single-ended ...

Circularly polarized electroluminescence from a single-crystal organic microcavity light-emitting diode based on photonic spin-orbit interactions

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
Nanoscale circularly polarized light sources are an important building block for future integrated photonics. Here the authors demonstrate circularly polarized light emission from a thin organic single crystal light-emitting diode.

Supramolecular glasses with color-tunable circularly polarized afterglow through evaporation-induced self-assembly of chiral metal–organic complexes

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
Material designs with multicolor circularly polarized emissions are desirable for photonic applications. Here, the authors report supramolecular glasses based on self-assembled chiral metal–organic complexes with color-tunable circularly polarized ...

Circular dichroism in high harmonic generation from chiral molecules [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2019
Circularly polarized high harmonic generation from a chiral molecule was found to significantly depend both on the chirality and on the rotating direction of the circularly polarized counter-rotating two-color driving laser fields.

Broadband Circularly Polarized Filtering Antennas [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
This paper consists of two parts. The first part presents a review of the recent development in broadband circularly polarized filtering antennas. The second part presents a novel design of broadband integrated filtering antenna based on eighth-mode SIW (EMSIW) resonators for rectenna applications. This work has three main novel contributions.
