Multiple Filamentation of Circularly Polarized Beams
Physical Review Letters, 2002We derive a new system of equations that describes the propagation of circularly polarized laser beams in a Kerr medium. Analysis and simulations of this system show that multiple filamentation is suppressed for circularly polarized beams.

Stimuli-Responsive Circularly Polarized Organic Ultralong Room Temperature Phosphorescence.
Angewandte Chemie, 2020Purely organic room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) and ultralong RTP (OURTP) materials have attracted much attention recently, but it is challenging to integrate circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) to RTP/OURTP. Here, we show a strategy to realize

Circularly Polarized Luminescent Triptycene-Based Polymers
ACS Macro Letters, 2018A series of chiral fluorescent polymers containing optically active triptycene units in the main chain were synthesized via Sonogashira-Hagihara coupling copolymerizations of (R,R)- or (S,S)-2,6-diethynyltriptycene with a range of diiodoaryls. Their optical and chiroptical properties were investigated under various solution conditions.

Self-focusing of circularly polarized beams
Physical Review E, 2003We present a systematic study of propagation of circularly polarized beams in a Kerr medium. In contrast to previous studies, vectorial effects (i.e., coupling to the axial component of the electric field and the grad-div term) and nonparaxiality are not neglected in the derivation.

Circularly polarized microwave ionization of hydrogen
Physical Review A, 1993The low-frequency circularly polarized microwave ionization of highly excited states of the hydrogen atom is evaluated applying the adiabatic approximation in the classical limit. The ionization threshold is calculated by matching asymptotically the weak- and strong-field regimes, and the results are compared with numerical integrations of the ...

Compact circularly-polarized microstrip array antenna
2010 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference, 2010AbstractThis article first presents a compact circularly polarized single patch antenna. The radiating structure consists of a square patch with embedding four bent slots to reduce the overall dimensions. Circular polarization is obtained by feeding the patch with 90° phase shift between two pins placed symmetrically on the two main axes.

[7] Circularly polarized luminescence
1978Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on circularly polarized luminescence. It investigates specifically how it is measured and what it may reveal about the molecules producing it. The occurrence of circularly polarized light in the luminescence of chiral molecules can be rationalized in terms of the known correspondence between absorption and ...
