Efficacy of Transcerebellar Diameter/ Abdominal Circumference Versus Head Circumference/Abdominal Circumference in Predicting Asymmetric Intrauterine Growth Retardation [PDF]
Background: The high incidence of IUGR and its low recognition lead to increasing perinatal morbidity and mortality for which prediction of IUGR with timely management decisions is of paramount importance.

The circumference of a graph $G$ is the length of a longest cycle in $G$, or $+\infty$ if $G$ has no cycle. Birmelé (2003) showed that the treewidth of a graph $G$ is at most its circumference minus $1$. We strengthen this result for $2$-connected graphs as follows: If $G$ is $2$-connected, then its treedepth is at most its circumference.

Abdominal Circumference or Waist Circumference?
Circumference measures, also called perimetry, are part of the anthropometric evaluation. Important Brazilian guidelines, as well as the Brazilian Society of Cardiology (SBC), have considered the abdominal circumference values as a point of reference to classify the risk for cardiovascular disease development.

Circumference and Pathwidth of Highly Connected Graphs [PDF]
Birmele [J. Graph Theory, 2003] proved that every graph with circumference t has treewidth at most t-1. Under the additional assumption of 2-connectivity, such graphs have bounded pathwidth, which is a qualitatively stronger result. Birmele's theorem was

Microcephaly and macrocephaly. A study on anthropometric and clinical data from 308 subjects [PDF]
Head circumference is the auxological parameter that most correlates with developmental anomalies in childhood. Head circumference (HC) two standard deviations (SD) below or above the mean defines microcephaly and macrocephaly, respectively.

Estimating the Number of Eggs per Egg Mass of the Forest Tent Caterpillar, Malacosoma Disstria (Lepidoptera: Lasiocampidae) [PDF]
Calculation of the number of eggs per egg mass of the forest tent caterpillar, Malacosoma disstria Hiibner, is required in survey and population studies. Eggs are usually laid in cylindrical masses around twigs of trees.

Effects of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus on Umbilical Cord Morphology: A Comparative Study [PDF]
Introduction: Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) has great effects on umbilical cord gross morphology. Antenatal detection of altered morphology would be helpful to identify the impact of GDM on umbilical cord to reduce fetomaternal complications.
