Gamma camera scintiphotography was employed to study 30 patients with alcoholic liver disease. Marked hepatomegaly was found in 40% and abnormally small livers in 27%. Splenic uptake was significant and demonstrable in 60% of the patients. Only 10% had palpable spleens.
