Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds, 1988Derivatives of cyclopenta[b]tetrahydrofurans are formed as a result of the iodocyclization of cis-1-R-2-allylcyclopentan-1-ols. The iodocyclization reaction of unsaturated alcohols is described by a kinetic equation of the second order (the first order for each of the reagents).

Iterative solutions for ∑iai/λ-ci=1 equations
2010Two new methods are proposed for solving equations of the form F(λ)=∑i=1n(ai/(λ-ci))-1=0. Both of them are simple, easy to implement, robust and reveal a super-quadratic convergence.
