Therapeutic Strategies to Overcome Payload Resistance of Trastuzumab Deruxtecan in HER2‐Positive Cancers

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 117, Issue 4, Page 996-1009, April 2026.
Overexpression of ABC transporters, especially ABCG2 and ABCB1, mediates acquired resistance to T‐DXd in HER2‐positive cancers. Inhibition of these transporters restored T‐DXd efficacy, highlighting efflux‐mediated resistance as a potential therapeutic target. ABSTRACT Antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) are emerging as a promising class of targeted cancer

How does multi‐hazard communication influence risk perception, attitudes, and behaviour: an experimental survey

open access: yesDisasters, Volume 50, Issue 2, April 2026.
Abstract Our understanding of the effects of multi‐hazard contexts on risk perception and behaviour is limited. In a novel approach, we utilise an experimental survey where groups of participants are asked to consider a different combination of the same two hazards: an earthquake and a tsunami.

Genetic Diversity Impacts Climate‐Induced Species Range Shifts

open access: yesEcology Letters, Volume 29, Issue 4, April 2026.
Genetic diversity may buffer species against climate‐driven range contractions and facilitate expansions, but its role at a global scale remains unclear. Using 4673 range shift estimates for 1888 species, we show that higher genetic diversity reduces trailing edge contractions under rapid warming and accelerates leading edge expansions under moderate ...

FinTech Lending and Cashless Payments

open access: yesThe Journal of Finance, Volume 81, Issue 2, Page 1053-1101, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Borrowers' use of cashless payments improves their access to capital from FinTech lenders and predicts a lower probability of default. These relationships are stronger for cashless technologies providing more precise information, and for outflows. Cashless payment usage complements other signals of borrower quality.

Robust activity‐dependent mitochondrial calcium dynamics at the AIS is dispensable for action potential generation

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, Volume 604, Issue 7, Page 3032-3052, 1 April 2026.
Abstract figure legend In cortical layer (L)5 pyramidal neurons we found that mitochondria in the axon initial segment (AIS) are distributed non‐uniformly and display robust calcium (Ca2+) uptake during action potential (AP) firing. Because the AIS is the site for the initiation of APs, which are shaped by cytosolic Ca2+ levels, we hypothesized that ...
