Cistos branquiais são descritos em oito exemplares de Tilapia nilotica, no Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Os cistos epiteliais consistiam de hipertrofia das células do epitélio branquial que mostravam um único e grande corpúsculo de inclusão basofílico.
