Cooperative effects of iron oxide nanoparticle (α-Fe2O3) and citrate on germination and oxidative system of evening primrose (Oenthera biennis L.)

open access: yesJournal of Plant Interactions, 2020
This study aimed to investigate the interaction effects of iron oxide nanoparticle (nα-Fe2O3) and its bulk counterpart (bα-Fe2O3) with and/or without citrate interaction on germination and seedling growth of Oenothera biennis L.

Gold Nanoparticle Capped Citrate as a Ligand for Chromium(III) Ion: Optimization and Its Application in Contaminated Tap Water

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemistry, 2022
Citrate-capped gold nanoparticle (GNP) was used as a ligand for chromium chelating, and chromium ions reaction led to GNP aggregation. The color change of GNP by aggregation in the presence of chromium is a simple and rapid colorimetric test for these ...

Crystal structure of dilithium potassium citrate, Li2KC6H5O7 determined from powder diffraction data and DFT calculations

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2019
The crystal structure of poly[μ-citrato-dilithium(I)potassium(I)], [Li2K(C6H5O7)]n, has been solved and refined using laboratory X-ray powder diffraction data, and optimized using density functional techniques. The citrate anion triply chelates to the K+

Single-Cell Discrimination of Citrate/Isocitrate Isomers via Induced Nano-Electrospray Ionization Tandem Mass Spectrometry

open access: yesZhipu Xuebao
Citrate (CA) and isocitrate (ICA) are key isomeric metabolites in the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, synthesized sequentially from acetyl-CoA and oxaloacetate, with isomerization catalyzed by aconitase 2 (ACO2). The dynamic balance between CA and ICA is

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Assessing How the Aluminum-Resistance Traits in Wheat and Rye Transfer to Hexaploid and Octoploid Triticale

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2018
The mechanisms of aluminum (Al) resistance in wheat and rye involve the release of citrate and malate anions from the root apices. Many of the genes controlling these processes have been identified and their responses to Al treatment described in detail.
