Tangeretin Targets Macrophage M1 Polarization to Alleviate Liver Injury in a Murine Model of Hepatic Sinusoidal Obstruction Syndrome

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
Tangeretin (TAN) alleviates monocrotaline‐induced hepatic sinusoidal obstruction syndrome in mice. By attenuating the Keap1–Nrf2 interaction, TAN promotes Nrf2 nuclear translocation and mitophagy, thereby preserving mitochondrial homeostasis and reducing mitochondrial reactive oxygen species.

Camels as a Climate‐Resilient Linchpin for Sustainable Development in Global Drylands

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Camels represent a significant, yet underutilized, asset for advancing integrated sustainable development in the world's expanding drylands. Previous reviews have examined camels' physiology, milk composition, or pastoral systems in isolation; this review examines their potential as a climate‐resilient linchpin for food systems by synthesizing

Addressing Water Scarcity in Agriculture: A Bibliometric Analysis of Hydrogel‐Based Strategies for Drought Resilience and Sustainable Water Management

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Drought poses a significant threat to agricultural systems worldwide, exacerbating challenges to food security and sustainability. Hydrogels, superabsorbent polymers that can retain substantial amounts of water, have emerged as a promising solution to mitigate the adverse effects of drought. In this integrated bibliometric and narrative review,

Combining Transfer Learning and Ensemble Algorithms for Improved Citrus Leaf Disease Classification

open access: yesAgriculture
Accurate categorization and timely control of leaf diseases are crucial for citrus growth. We proposed the Multi-Models Fusion Network (MMFN) for citrus leaf diseases detection based on model fusion and transfer learning. Compared to traditional methods,

Impact of Environmental Microparticles on Insect Olfaction

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Terrestrial insects underpin key ecosystem services, including pollination, herbivory regulation, decomposition, nutrient cycling, and disease control. These functions depend on chemical communication that guides insects to food, mates, hosts, shelters, and oviposition sites while helping them avoid threats.

Plant‐derived nanovesicles as potential drug delivery systems for topical use: Emerging applications in dermatology and cosmetology

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Plant‐derived nanovesicles (PDNVs) are naturally secreted by fruit, vegetables, seeds, leaves and other natural sources. Used as drug delivery systems, they can combine intrinsic therapeutic activity, enhanced skin permeation and cargo‐carrying capacity, suitable for dermatological and cosmetic applications including hydration, antioxidant/anti ...

Concrete jungle to urban oasis: evaluating scale, vegetation cover, and aggregation of urban greenspaces on wildlife

open access: yesWildlife Biology, EarlyView.
Urban greenspaces are a haven for wildlife in densely populated cities. Wildlife use greenspaces for resource acquisition, shelter, and travel across urbanized landscapes. Greenspace metrics such as herbaceous or woody landcover, size, patchiness, and human land use influence species richness.

Biology, ecology, and conservation of the Italian hare Lepus corsicanus: a review

open access: yesWildlife Biology, EarlyView.
The Italian hare Lepus corsicanus, an endemic lagomorph of Italy, serves as a critical case study in evolutionary biology and conservation. Once taxonomically debated, modern genetic and morphological analyses confirm its status as a distinct Pleistocene lineage restricted to the central‐southern Italian Peninsula and Sicily.

Pushing the Boundaries: Studies on Consumers and Food Demand in the Journal of Agricultural Economics

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We summarize the development of consumer economics and food demand in the Journal of Agricultural Economics over the past 100 years. Even from an early stage, the role of marketing agricultural products in a thriving agricultural sector was recognized within the works published in the Journal.
