Alley cropping opportunities and research priorities in orchard systems: A case study in northern California

Abstract Alley cropping is the production of annual and perennial cash crops between orchard trees. Despite its documented benefits, adoption of alley cropping in California remains limited. This paper describes a long‐term commercial alley cropping system in northern California and identifies research areas that can support this practice.

Assessment of the Targeted Therapeutic Potential of Naringenin‐Benzyl Piperazine Derivatives on Hypoxia‐Induced JAK/STAT Pathway in Breast and Ovarian Cancers

The synthesized naringenin‐benzyl piperazine derivatives 3b, 3f, and 3g exhibited potent antiproliferative and cytotoxic activities on breast tumors (MCF7 (ER‐α+), SK‐Br, MDA‐MB‐231) and ovarian cancer cells (NIH‐OVCAR‐3, and SKOV‐3). 3f was found to have the highest apoptotic effect among the other derivatives.
