Apscaviroids Infecting Citrus Trees

2017
Of the seven known citrus viroids, four are apscaviroids: citrus bent leaf viroid (CBLVd), citrus dwarfing viroid (CDVd), citrus viroid V (CVd-V), and citrus viroid VI (CVd-VI). Two (CDVd and CVd-V) are restricted to citrus, while CBLVd naturally infects hop and is also experimentally transmitted to avocado, and CVd-VI is present in natural infections ...

The Fumigation of Citrus Trees in Palestine

Nitrogen assimilation by a Citrus tree

Physiologia Plantarum, 1980
AbstractPrimary assimilation of 15N‐ammonium or 15N‐nitrate by excised leaves of satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshiu Markovitch) was examined under light and dark conditions. Under both conditions both types of nitrogen were most markedly incorporated into glutamine‐amide nitrogen in the primary step of the assimilation, and into proline in the later steps.

Genome Editing in Citrus Tree with CRISPR/Cas9

2019
CRISPR/Cas9 has been widely employed to edit genome in most of the organisms, including animal, plant, fungus, and microbe. Here we describe the modification of citrus gene CsLOB1 in transgenic citrus by Cas9/sgRNA, a two-component system derived from CRISPR-Cas9. Transgenic citrus plants can be created by Agrobacterium-mediated epicotyl transformation.
