Dwarfing citrus rootstocks restrict flush shoot growth on the scion, thereby reducing Asian citrus psyllid infestation, dispersal, and huanglongbing (HLB) progression. These findings support the use of dwarfing rootstocks as an effective cultural strategy in integrated HLB management for citrus orchards.

Thermal conductivity coefficients have been determined for longitudinal and transverse flow in 4 varieties of fresh Citrus wood using steady state-methods. Equations were developed from which thermal conductivity could be rapidly estimated from moisture content or electrical conductivity.

Overwintering of Aphids on Citrus Trees
アブラムシ類のカンキツ樹での越冬を1976年∼78年の2回にわたる越冬期について調査した。1. 従来カンキツ樹上への産卵が知られていたミカンクロアブラムシ,ユキヤナギノアブラムシの他に,新たにワタアブラムシのカンキツ樹への産卵を確認した。2. ワタアブラムシ,ユキヤナギノアブラムシの卵は多数発見されたが,ミカンクロアブラムシの卵は少なかった。3. これら3種の卵は翌春ふ化し,幹母が成虫となった。以後ミカンクロアブラムシを除く他の2種では,個体数が指数的に増加し多数の有翅虫が出現した。一方,ミカンクロアブラムシは第2世代を産出することなく全滅してしまった。4. ユキヤナギノアブラムシとワタアブラムシの樹あたり卵数の分布様式には違いがみられた。5.
