Smart Polymeric 3D Microscaffolds Hosting Spheroids for Neuronal Research via Quantum Metrology
Development of a platform consisting of 3D microscaffolds supporting 3D embryoid bodies for neuronal research. The polymeric scaffolds enable directed growth of neurites. This study shows nanodiamond‐based quantum sensors graft onto the polymer material, enabling quantum metrology experiments within the 3D neuronal model and thereby providing a ...

Highly sprouting organoid‐like neurovascular spheroids (NVUs) are developed, featuring cell‐loaded poly‐3‐hydroxybutyrate 4‐hydroxybutyrate(P34HB) porous microsphere cores embedded within Gelatin Methacryloyl. NVUs formed complex vascular plexuses and secreted extracellular matrix in vitro, simulating autologous nerves and blood interaction.

The scaling of income inequality in cities [PDF]
Developing a scientific understanding of cities in a fast urbanizing world is essential for planning sustainable urban systems. Recently, it was shown that income and wealth creation follow increasing returns, scaling superlinearly with city size.
